Housing Sentiment Dips in September

Consumer confidence in the housing market took a hit in September, dipping from a record high in August, according to a monthly survey from Fannie Mae. The decrease in housing sentiment was spurred by consumers’ personal financial concerns. More respondents were worried about losing their jobs this month than in August. Overall job confidence remains high however. Meanwhile, mortgage interest rates have fallen to their lowest level in a month, making home purchases slightly more affordable.
